isa blu

isa blu creates dreamy, nostalgic pop that makes you think of childhood and maybe even shed a tear on the bus. Blending electronic and organic elements, her sound draws parallels to artists such as Billie Eilish, boygenius, and Bon Iver.

At the heart of the soundscape is the silky-smooth, intimate voice of Isabell Jørgensen, a new artist from a small island on Norway’s west coast, who has now stepped onto the Norwegian music scene. Together with her husband, Karl Erik Jørgensen (brenn., Pikekyss), they return as often as they can to the family farm in Berle to find peace and quiet while working on new music.

The debut single “dear marie,” released earlier this spring, is a warm reflection on growing up, friendship, and slowly losing yourself along the way. Since its release, isa blu has already been featured on several editorial Spotify playlists, including NMF Norway & Iceland, Fresh Finds, Nordic Folk, and Vår i lufta, among others.

She has also received warm praise from outlets such as 730.no and Puls., been recommended by NRK P3 Urørt, and added to playlists by multiple radio stations. This summer, isa blu played her debut concert on the main stage at SALT during Øyatirsdag.
